How it Works
The original idea for the Planner Master Class Series came from exit research from the Hospitality & Tourism Summit, an annual event that brings together about 2,000 meeting and event planners along with tourism and hospitality professionals, concierge and social media influencers for a full day of networking, education, and fun.
The research showed that Meeting and Event Planners, Wedding Planners, DMC’s, and Corporate Planners, were looking for more education and networking. After 18 months of research, surveys, meetings and focus groups, the Planner Master Class Series was born in 2018 in Chicago.
The Planner Master Class events series feature education, networking, resources and fun, in one way, shape or form. We hold our events at some of the hottest venues in a city and get to sample outstanding food and drinks while networking as a result. Depending on the event, education ranges from more formal speakers and presentations to peer-to-peer learning through round table discussions. Opportunities to build your network with other planners and representatives from different venues and vendors range from full-on cocktail events to coffee breaks, roundtables and transitional time.

The Summit features panel discussions, educational opportunities, networking, and a trade show comprised of over 125 of Chicago – s top restaurants, nightlife spots, culture, attraction, and retail venues. In short, it’s like ‘shooting fish in a barrel’ for a meeting, and event planners seeking inspiration for event ideas, new venues or vendors.
